Staff lovely, food excellent, room lovely. Unfortunately it was an annex very near a busy road. Window was a sash and opened at the bottom. Security risk! There was a connecting door to a room beyond . Locked of course but whoever was in that room were noisy and banging into the door which to say the least was unsettling. Would not want a room in that location ever again. The town was not busy or very prosperous looking . Good job we went out each day.
Set in 2 acres of grounds, Boscundle Manor boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, bar and a spa. Just 1 mile from The Eden Project, the property also offers free parking and free WiFi.

Friendly staff. Nice hotel and lovey spa location, well kept. Bar drinks were not overly extensive and dinner was lovely.
From our country house hotel by the sea, the only thing we overlook is the bay. Our spectacular clifftop location offers a 180 degree sea view over Carlyon Bay.

We came to meet up with family at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, just for the day, which were wonderful. We did not visit the beach or any other facility. We returned to our holiday destination in North Devon the same day.

St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall.
St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall. The town isn't fantastic, but it's 5 minutes from the Eden Project, also 5 minutes to Charlestown , an historic and interesting harbour, Mevagissey is very near, and it's near to several beaches.

Many interesting places to visit. Lovely coastline with quaint villages. Mevagissey, Fowey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden project are must sees! I shopped in St Austell itself. A good variety of shops, in interesting streets and lanes.

We stayed in Mevagissey which is south of StAustel. St Austel is not the best place to visit in Cornwall and is a little run down but there are promises that efforts are being made to improve its image and facilities.

Ours was a short stay so spent most of the time travelling around the area including a boat trip to Falmouth.
We enjoyed a 'eat as much as you like' chinese meal at the Water Margin restaurent in St Austell. The service and quality of menu was excellent. Recommended.
Incredible location with stunning views. The hotel offers plenty of places for leisurely walks, which is perfect for those who enjoy nature. The staff is polite and welcoming, adding to the overall excellent experience. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful, enhancing our stay even further. Both breakfast and dinner were top-notch, with a great selection of delicious options. Additionally, the availability of parking, a spa, and a swimming pool made our stay convenient and relaxing. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway!
Andrew at the front desk was very helpful storing our luggage when we arrived early, handling our luggage without being asked (was very heavy) arranging taxis to take and bring us back from Wheal Martin clay Museum the day we arrived and found the bus needed to get to Eden Project and Hidden Gardens of Heligan. This is a busy hotel but he and Dillon managed things in a calm and professional manner. We had lunch and two suppers at the hotel as well which were all of good quality.
Breakfast was exceptional - good variety on menu and well presented. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location was convenient for walking into the town centre and the hotel made a good base for visiting attractions such as Charlestown, Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan as well as resorts of Mevagissy and the Padstow area. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and knowlegeable about the area
We loved the location of our Hotel. The Breakfast was excellent. We had a slight problem with our TV Aerial but that was quickly sorted out by the Hotel Manager. Every staff member was polite and courteous, excellent service we could not fault anything and would stay there again.
Breakfast was generous - and fresh fruit was lovely.
For evening meals, the Kings Arms is a short walk away, and does good beer and decent pub food.
For an alternative to pubs, try the Salty Bay Pizza place, a couple of miles away, and very nice pizza and salad
Good Town centre location, Car park very close by (Pay) Comfortable and clean. Close Wetherspoons pub, the only other pub worth visiting is the Western (West Hill) close to an ancient bridge. 5 minute walk to railway station. Ideal for those using public transport.
The hotel staff were top class, helpful & friendly. The hotel was generally quiet and unrushed. The view from the lounges and dining room are fantastic overlooking St Austell bay. The breakfasts were great. The owner, George, was always very pleasant.
Exceptional hotel and restaurant. Very clean and tidy. Rooms were large, well decorated and clean. Evening meal was fabulous. Great menu with great chefs and staff. Would recommend. Good value for Monday. Will definitely stay again.
clean, tidy & the couple who own it are lovely. the beds were super comfortable! amenities were fab. for a small hotel it was comfortably running alongside the Carlyon Bay hotel in its efforts!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Always cheerful.
