Nice hotel, room was decent size but the bed wasn't comfortable (made some awful noises when turning over). Evening meal and breakfast was average pub grub. Very expensive for what we got. It was missing the little details.

Great room with fantastic breakfast, ideal parking and location was perfect, as I was staying over for my nephew's wedding, the next day. The hostess was very pleasant and her partner was very helpful, when I had a query.

Lovely welcoming place to stay. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. The room was spotless and had everything you could need. There was a restaurant here which looked very nice but I was otherwise engaged on the evening I stayed

I liked the area as there are some lovely little villages within a 20 mile radius. It was nice to see all around without having to travel far. There is lots to see and do, whatever your heart desires in almost on your doorstep. We had our dinner out in Anna's restaurant and OMG the batter is so crispy and tasty, the chips were crispy on the outside and so soft in the middle. It was such good value and sits right on the sea front.

Cockermouth is a pretty town with many buildings of interest. Wordsworth's birthplace is there, but it is closed in winter.
The rivers Cocker and Derwent flow through the town with banks of daffodils in spring.
Plenty of small shops, restaurants and traditional pubs as well as two supermarkets.

Cockermouth has potential but is in need of more eateries, we stayed 3 nights and struggled to find anywhere nice for meals. The Bush is a lovely pub with good food but that's all we had to choose in the area.

Plenty of bars, restaurants and takeaways ,and a good range of shops and supermarkets. There are parks and river walks.there seemed to be plenty of car parking although we didn't need them,so I don't know what the costs were.
Fabulous room lovely period features in hotel -staircase and stained glass window and door. Self check in easy. Easy instructions for car park round the corner. All facilities in room( even if I only found iron and board day we left) Fabulous bathroomCentrally located in Cockermouth, easy to walk everywhere. Would return if in area again. Breakfast in cafe next door. Seems like a limited menu but terrific bacon sandwiches
The hotel is in an excellent location close to the many pubs and restaurants. The hotel combines modern with some nice original features. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything you would expect and need. The Restaurant is exceptional as are all the staff. Breakfast was included and the value for money overall is exceptional. I’d highly recommend Allerdsle Court Hotel and can’t wait to return again.
Hidden gem, based in the centre of Cockermouth, just off the main street, with lots of choice of restaurants and pubs. Set in a quiet courtyard, this character property has been tastefully renovated and decorated, very comfortable, with both bedrooms having an en-suite and modern appliances in the kitchen. Good location for the Lake District but away from the crowds.

The hotel has a wonderful outdoor area with a gorgious view. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
