Istanbul is a very hectic place to visit and you need to have your wits about you constantly. You will get constantly harassed by men wanting to know where you are going and what you are doing, everyone seems to want to get money out of you and most shops don't have any prices and the cost of items changes significantly every where. Be on your guard!

Amazing city, full of winding roads, hills, shops, restaurants, cafes, monuments , history, culture and friendly people. It might seem overwhelming (18 million people) but it’s magical. 2000 years of history in one place! Many civilizations passed. Get an Istanbul card for access to cheap and good public transportation. Try any kebab and desserts (hafiz mustafa 1864 is an amazing place)

Sultanahmet with the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque is stunning, the Basilica Cistern is well worth a visit. Definitely visit the Grand Bazaar but be aware half of the stalls are now fake designer goods. Trams are a great way to get around and the transport system easy and cheap to use.

Istanbul is a great place to visit and it's rich with so many things to visit and see. Many kind of food to try and enjoy. Beautiful nature and views. It pleases you curiosity about history and culture.
Must see things are Sultanahmet mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi, Basilica Cistern, Dolmapasi, Galata Tower and bridge, Grand bazzar and the spice bazzar, and many more.
Sadly Istanbul is becoming very expensive and everyone is taking advantage of tourists from government to merchants. A lot of scam and cheat, Museum fees now 30-50 us dollars, The Basilica takes an hour at most to visit and they will rob you $30
Food is wonderful but expect to pay for it, don't order anything not on the menu and price shown, then you will pay outrageous price. They will try to over charge on everything so watch out.
It's crowded city and transportation is plenty but still pickle style at rush hours (most of the day)
You must shop around to seek fair prices, Grand Bazzar is crazy expensive and true scam place. You can find them charging 2000 tl for turkish delight and outside you can find it for sub 400 tl. Prices vary wildly and it's hard to win. You have to accept you won't win any, but at least control it.

it was about 100 TL and then you charge it easily through machines by what you need
Overall, it was a very good and special experience, wish to visit Turkey again but I will manage to go other cities in sha2 Allah
Great boutique hotel in Taksim away from the nosy streets. The staff are the best in this hotel. Mohammed and Abdul Al-Rashed (I think) are very professional, friendly, and the speak better English than many other staff in 5 stars hotels in Istanbul. Whatever you ask of them they do it efficiently and promptly. They are always eager to help. Once you spent more than 1 day at this hotel, it becomes like home and it brings peace once you enter the lobby. I love it, thanks staff and management for doing an excellent job
This property has almost everything one wants during travel. I stayed with my family for 04 nights. we were warmly welcomed and offered best hospitality possible. location is great. Just 02 minutes walk to Taksim Square. everything is nearby for daily life.
Hotel manager, Mehmet, is such a nice guy. He arranged a bosphorus cruise dinner trip and airport transfer at very good rate. He offered all kind of assistance wherever required. Highly recommend for stay.
Excellent stay . Very comfortable family room provided with 2 connected rooms. Gorgeous view of blue mosque from the room😍 The location is central , in the heart of things and within walking distance from
Blue mosque , Topkapi palace and grand bazaar. Easy tram access to other places like Taksim square.
The free minibar was nice touch👍 the staff ever helpful and hospitable ! Will be booking this hotel again for sure if I visit Istanbul again!
Alya Suits Taksim, just remember this name for the budget friendly hotel in Istanbul near Taksim square. I have stayed here to attend my meeting in Istanbul and found it comfortable & easy to approach. The hotel receptionist (Mr. Vicky) is very friendly and cooperative. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. Will be back to this place soon..!!!
A great little hotel in Sultanahmet within 5 minutes walk Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
The hospitality of the staff is excellent, very friendly and attentive. They are happy to book your airport transfers and help with suggestions and bookings. Breakfast is excellent - a good selection of continental/Turkish style buffet, with a selection of cooked options. Would definitely stay again if we return to Istanbul.
The best 5 stars hotel in Istanbul with exclusive prices.
when I booked a room it was written in booking that breakfast is included when I reserved booking the confirmation email didn’t include breakfast, so they gave me 4 days free breakfast voucher.
Taxi services for the airport is cheep and easy.
Delicious breakfast, deluxe rooms, amazing spa & finally fantastic environment.
I’ve been there also in summer 2011
The location is amazing, just near Taksim Square but far enough from the main traffic. The hotel is new, rooms are super clean, staff is beyond polite and helpful (special thanks to Manager Mr.Dogan), breakfast is nice, in front of the hotel you have a cafe, prices are really good for Istanbul which is getting more and more expensive so my overall impression is great and I can't wait to come back :)
Ahmed, worker in this hotel is the best guy I have met in Istanbul. If you need tickets or any favour, Ahmed is capable to do it for you all in one place. Highly satisfied with stay at this Hotel. I consider this as 5 star hotel instead of 3 star. Cleanliness outstanding, tasty breakfast, polite and helpful behavior of hotel staff. 10 stars out of 10.
everything starting from the location to the property itself.
the staff are nice an welling to help. this was my 6 visit to istanbul and the best stay ever. the beds are very comfortable and the rooms very clean. everything was perfect. there are 2 supermarkets near the hotel restaurants bakery. the hotel is 5 minutes from taksim square.
We had the best experience ever. The staff was friendly and professional. They helped us with almost everything from finding public transport to the best restaurant in town. This is a boutique hotel with large rooms. There was a huge terrace in our room. The hotel was just a 5 minutes walk to the Taksim square (the heart of Istanbul).
The location is just great, few steps to the middle of the main street in Istanbul (Istiklal), between the famous Galata Tower and Taksim Square.
The Suite had a beautiful view on Istanbul until the Bosphorus. It was enough big and clean for a very comfortable stay.
The Hotel Manager and the Staff were very kind and helpful.
the staffs was so friendly and kind. the view of the restaurant was amazing and the room was so clean. everything was ok and if I want to come to istanbul again, I would like book this hotel again. the location is close to taksim square but you should walk like a climb for about 5 minutes!
It was our fourth or fifth time in this hotel. this is our favorite hotel in istanbul. the staff is just perfect
always there to help. especially Murat that he became a friend and always happy to help and giving info. the location is TOP! right on the Taksim square. don't hesitate!
This stay was an emergency stay because of 1st May. Our main hotel was at Taksim square, the centre of Istanbul. Because of the 1st May celebrations the centre was closed so we were forced to search for a hotel close to the airport. Location is 20 minutes from airport.

The personnel was very helpful, they try their best to help, they even gave us an istanbulkart for our stay. The hotel is newly renovated and two minutes away from taksim square and it's generally busy and you don't feel unsafe generally.
