Right in the heart of the village. Easy to park nearby. Delicious breakfast, and lovely member of staff serving this. She provided great gluten free rolls for me, freshly baked from the oven.
Hotel de Harmonie is romantically situated along a canal in the village of Giethoorn. All rooms offer a view of the water or the De Wieden Nature Reserve.

Loved everything but thought the shower room let it down.
Shower that didn’t spray out and was difficult to get the right temperature, basin that did not have hot water at all and found when showering floor was slightly slippy!

Giethoorn is the Venice of the Netherlands, it’s beautiful even though the weather was not brilliant during our stay but the place is amazing and I can imagine will be packed come Summer. We went during the Easter long weekend and still enjoyed the place.
Will definitely go back again ☺️

1. It's perfect to stay 1 or 2 nights and explore this place deeply.
2. Over 2 nights would be too much I think.
3. It's so nice to walk around not just in the center, of course with nice weather is important.
4. It's great to have 2hr boat ride with great weather, was so comfortable and the guide was so great.

Giethoorn is one of many places nicknamed Northern Venice and the resemblance with its canals is definitely there. But the nickname almost doesn't do the town its justice. It has a lot more natural scenery to offer and is much more peaceful. A great destination for someone who is for instance cycling through the country.

This a very nice and special area, it worth walking and taking a boat trip. We were there at the end of the summer in mid September, it was not too crowded. I think it is nice in the winter also, they said that the canals usually frozen and ice-skating is possible.

A great place to visit however the weather plays a key role on how much you will enjoy. Never visit this place if it raining.
Good time to spend 1 day around the water ways.
Great cycling track and prefer to rent a bycyle to visit nearby villages which are equally beautiful.

Our journey to the beautiful village "Giethoorn" was a pleasant one. The scenic beauty on the way was mesmerizing, and we could not wait to explore the village. As we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and friendly locals and the Hostel we stayed in.
The village was indeed beautiful and had a serene environment that was perfect for a relaxing family atmosphere. The lush greenery and the calmness of the place were truly rejuvenating along with the long water tunnels. We wished we could stay longer and soak in the tranquility of the village.
This is a great place to stay! We booked three separate hotel rooms for extended family (9p) and they let us use a little bungalow at the back with a fridge so that we could relax and sit outside on the field and have some drinks in the evening. The dinner was very tasty and excellent value and the included breakfast had everything you could wish for! The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from old Giethoorn. Most of all we appreciate the hospitality of the owner and we will definitely book again when we have visitors from abroad!
we’re family of 4 (myself, my wife and two kids) we got Chalet 18 which is a lake view.. amazing view of the lake.. the host was very nice and welcoming.. deposit is 150€ you get it back when checkout if you follow the Chalet rules which are reasonable.. location is right in the center of everything.. Parking available nearby.. kitchen is fully equipped. beds were ok.. the Chalet also offer boats for rent.
Very comfortable hotel room with 2 chairs to relax in. Easy self check-in. Nice breakfast (the warm brown seed top bread was absolutely delicious). There was plenty of room in the free P1 (green) carpark next to the hotel. Can see hotel from this carpark, and also a good supermarket. From the back of the hotel, can walk along the canal to the Binnepad.
The staff was amazing. The two charming young ladies who checked us in were a pleasure to deal with - friendly and helpful. Another young man helped us with our luggage. Our room was spacious and modern. Breakfasts were excellent. Location is great - an easy walk into the scenic part of Giethoorn but far enough outside town to provide a quiet stay.
perfect location, just 10 min. walk into the most pictures town of Giethoorn. Big modern room, very friendly owner, and good breakfast. We rented a boat to take a ticky tour into the village which was also a high light.
perfect stay we can recomend it to anyone.
The location is really nice. You can find the bus stop in the front of the hotel. The service is also really nice. They provide super helpful information for traveling around the town. You can easily rent a bike from the hotel service.
Fully equipped and very cozy challet with 2 bedrooms. Had everything we need. 10 minute walking distance to the center of Giethoorn. Nice and quite location without all the tourists. Outside area near the water is great to relax.
Nice hotel, small and reasonably modern rooms. Excellent location near the main canals of Gietthoorn and away from the heavy touristic center. Efficient and digital check in system.
The house was perfect - comfortable, bright, great location, with everything we needed for a great stay. We will definitely go back if we are in Giethoorn again.
Everything was clean
